Staff Accountant (Bilingual English/Spanish)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role will support the Treasury and Accounting departments by assisting with day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to month-end and year-end close activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Record, review, and reconcile daily financial transactions.
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by gathering and providing required documentation.
  • Help prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other accounting analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
  • Handle sensitive financial information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Perform additional accounting and treasury-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • 2-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Peachtree (Sage) accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, reliable, and committed to producing accurate work.
